N.I APRIL - Giants Causeway, Balintoy and Portaneevy

 Tuesday 25th April.

After a light lunch Harry drove us out to the Giant’s Causeway, with stops en route at Ballycastle, North Street viewpoint,

and then at a high point at Portaneevy, overlooking the rope bridge of Carrick-a-Rede Island, and where the views over to Scotland were superb.

A detour to Ballintoy harbour -(more Game of Thrones stuff), quite pretty but smelly).

At the Giant’s Causeway we had to pay a £10 parking fee, but a token could be exchanged in the hotel for coffees. Then Harry couldn’t find his phone, which he’d just used to pay the parking fee. I rang it, and still we couldn’t see it - it had slipped into the gap by the seats. At this point I found the lost stamp…

About a mile walk down to the Causeway, which is impressive when you get there! Lots of photographs. Then back up for the ‘free’ coffee and a packet of crisps to make up the tenner.

Another pause at Portaneevy, where a mist is now forming near the Mull of Kintyre
