Monday 9th March
Norma collected me at 9.15, drove to Wakerley and we walked the Jurassic Way route to Fineshade. We did do an unintentional diversion at one point, but retraced our steps when it got very muddy.
In fact there were several muddy patches - the field with Highland cattle was soggy, and the gate above Fineshade Abbey was tricky and had to be passed along the wooden fence.
The path uphill through Wakerley was also muddy and slippery.

However there were lots of primroses.
