About 5 miles in all.
We intended to pick up lunch in Burtonport, but the curse of closed on Mondays was in force.
The railway path finished by going through a construction site just before the village.

Tuesday 26th November, with Harry.
In the afternoon we went out to Pickwell again,
Still plenty of colour

and did the walk from November 13th in the other direction, wearing wellies thus time - just as well since the ground was pretty muddy, especially the bridleway at the end. Hard work plodding uphill through sticky mud.
Fab sunset again.
Monday 15th July
With Norma and Maureen.
We parked at Great Cransley, walked to the reservoir,
Along the road to Loddington,
Another field where we followed the line of the fence to our left, through a flock of sheep and a hopeful horse. Then we went through a gate and along a narrow path, back into Great Cransley.
Monday 08 July
With Norma, Kate and Maureen. The w eather this morning was excellent for walking - but it got a bit hot later.
The total route was 5.5 miles.
Norma saw a green woodpecker (I heard its yaffle but didn’t see it)

After lunch I decided to walk along Pound Lane and the path to Colbury Church.
