and occasionally rides a bike.
A word of warning. The walk descriptions are not detailed enough to guide you - please take a map. The batteries never run out, and you always have a signal. Oh, And don't take left or right as gospel!

Gretton - Kirby Hall - part of Jurassic Way

Monday 12 July - about 8 miles.
A damp, rather muggy morning. I walked with Eddie and Norma. Kirby Hall - chat re peacocks - if they have young they are often predated by stoats.

We took the footpath near the data centre, but as it is very overgrown we reverted to the road.

We turned right on to Gretton Brook Road and followed the bridleway and footpath.  We took the track right to Corby Road, where we turned right then very soon left. This track takes us over the tunnel and railway line.

I think I saw a marbled white in the field …will have to go back and see if another appears.

Finally we came back along Jurassic Way footpath which comes from Rockingham - about 8 miles - gentle in comparison to last week’s efforts.
