Gretton to Harringworth Lodge

With Maureen and Gordon, about five miles. The same route as last time but in reverse.
Fairly warm, some drizzle, then a bit muggy.

Following tractor tracks over the wheat field.

Handy seating for a break .

There were lots of meadow brown butterflies, and in one field a fair number of common blues, often on birdsfoot trefoil plants.

Just a shortish walk . . . and the butterflies wouldn't stay still for the camera! Such is life . . .

Common Blues (from what I have observed) are a bit short on the ground in most places Alison.

They were the first ones I've noticed this year, Roy.
