Pitsford Water Nature Reserve

Set off at about 10:30. Beautiful day. Permit needed. I don't think the timing is right! Almost 7 miles.

I've intended to explore this for a while.

No detailed instructions here, and I had to pay all of £2.50 for a permit (concession for being old). You get these from the Fishing Lodge.  Unfortunately they had no copies of this poster, but there are clear paths. If you click on the pic to enlarge it's easier to read.
Unfortunately didn't have big lens with me. A very pleasant if rather hot wander from hide to hide - lots of birds, some with young, lots of butterflies. And a cuckoo calling most of the morning.
