A joy to walk along with you, as Hungarton was the home of my 6x Gt-Grandfather Richard Chesterton (1670-1750), buried in St. John the Baptist cemetery. In 1749, the accounts of the church wardens and constables recorded that the very elderly Richard was paid for "lodging a poor man."
